Refunds & cancellation

A 7-day trial so you can find out before you pay, a 14-day right of withdrawal on top of it, and no small print designed to run out the clock.

Last updated 31 July 2026

01The short version

  • The trial is 7 days and nothing is charged during it. Cancel before it ends and you pay nothing at all.
  • If you are a consumer in the EU or EEA you have 14 days from a purchase to withdraw from it.
  • Cancel whenever you like. Your access runs to the end of the period you already paid for.
  • Unspent Studio credit can be refunded. Credit you already spent cannot. The compute it bought is gone.

02The 7-day trial

Every new Pro subscription starts with a 7-day free trial. Checkout asks for a card up front so the subscription can convert without you having to do anything, but no money moves until day 8. Cancel any time before then. From Account → Manage billing. And you are charged nothing.

Sign-up dates and trial end dates are on your account page, so there is never a guess about when the first charge lands.

03Your 14-day right of withdrawal

Consumers in the EU and EEA have 14 days to withdraw from a distance contract. That right comes from the Danish Forbrugeraftalelov, which implements the EU Consumer Rights Directive, and it applies from the day the contract is concluded.

Digital services supplied straight away are the awkward case in that law, so here is what we actually do rather than what we could get away with: ask us within 14 days of a charge and we refund it in full. We do not deduct a proportion for the days you used, and we do not ask you to prove anything. If the request is obviously a pattern. Subscribe, produce a season, refund, repeat: we will say no and tell you why.

To withdraw, mail support@libertyhud.com from your account address and say so. Any clear statement is enough; you do not need a form.

04After the 14 days

A subscription renews until you stop it. Cancelling stops the next renewal and leaves your access running to the end of the period you have paid for: we do not cut you off the moment you cancel, and we do not refund the remainder of a period you chose to leave early.

The exceptions are the ones you would expect: if we charged you twice, if a renewal went through on an account you had already cancelled, or if the service was broken in a way that made it unusable and we could not fix it, write to us. Those get refunded, and your statutory rights as a consumer are untouched by anything on this page.

05Studio credit

Studio credit is prepaid usage, and every model call and sandbox second it pays for is written to a ledger you can read in your account. That makes the rule simple:

  • Unspent credit: refundable within 14 days of the top-up that bought it.
  • Spent credit: not refundable. It has already paid for AI inference and compute we bought from someone else, and that cannot be returned.
  • A refunded top-up removes the matching credit from your balance automatically, in proportion to what was refunded.

Credit is not money: it cannot be paid out as cash, transferred to another account, or exchanged for anything other than Studio usage.

06How to ask

Email support@libertyhud.com from the address on the account and tell us what you want refunded. You do not need an invoice number, though it helps.

Refunds go back through Stripe to the card or method you paid with. We cannot send one anywhere else. And they usually appear within 5 to 10 working days depending on your bank. If tax was added at checkout, it is refunded with the rest.

07Chargebacks

Talk to us before your bank. A chargeback takes weeks, costs us a fee whichever way it goes, and an email usually settles the same thing the same day. If a dispute is decided against us, any credit that payment bought is removed from the balance, and we may close the account.

08Business customers

The 14-day withdrawal right in section 03 is a consumer right and does not apply to a purchase made by a company. We still honour section 04. Double charges, renewals after a cancellation, a service that did not work: for everyone.

09If we disagree

Reply and say so; we would rather sort it out than win it. If we cannot agree, a consumer in Denmark can bring the complaint to Center for Klageløsning, Nævnenes Hus, Toldboden 2, 8800 Viborg (naevneneshus.dk).
